For very rough or deep scratches, it is recommended to begin with copper bond wheels first.
Start at 29 PSI (2 bars) and increase the pressure by 3.0 PSI (0.2 bars) at each consequent step.
For example, if you start with 100 grit, you have to set the machines at 29 PSI.
For 200 grit – 32 PSI,
500 grit – 35 PSI,
1000 grit – 38 PSI,
2000 grit – 41 PSI
and Buff – 44 PSI.
The GlossFire Flat polishing discs are designed for polishing straight edges, and they can be used with any in-line flat (straight) edge polishing machine using a snail lock attachment, such as machines manufactured by Marmo Meccanica, Sasso Meccanica (Flying Flat, Flat 62, Flat 8.4, Flat 10.4), Park Industries (Fastback), Montesor (Lola) and others.
GlossFire discs are offered in 4, 5 and 6 inch sizes, in Copper Bond and Resin Bond - the Copper GlossFire discs come in 30,50,70,100,200,400,600 grit and the Resin GlossFire discs come in 50,100,200,500,1000,2000 and BUFF.
Suggested Application Data for GlossFire polishing discs on natural stone materials:
• For 5 head machines, start with grit 200 resin and follow with grits 500, 1000, 2000 and Buff.
• For 6 head machines, start with grit 100 resin and follow with grits 200, 500, 1000, 2000 and Buff. For machines with 2 -spindle bevel unit, use copper bond chamfer wheels (1 upper + 1 lower)
• For 8 head machines, start with grit 100 copper and follow with grit 100 resin. After that continue with 200 copper, 200 resin, 500, 1000, 2000 and Buff.
For machines with 2 -spindle bevel unit, use copper bond chamfer wheels (1 upper + 1 lower). For machines with 4 -spindle bevel unit, use copper bond chamfer wheels (2 upper + 2 lower).
• For 10 head machines, start with grit 100 copper and follow with grit 50 resin. After that continue with 100 resin, 200 copper, 500, 1000, 2000 and Buff
